Obsidian was founded in 2024 by a team of hospitality professionals who lived on Sint Maarten, loved the island deeply, and saw a gap that no one else was willing to fill. Not a gap in accommodations — the island has plenty of those. A gap in intentional, group-first hospitality that treats your trip as more than a reservation number.
We sourced three exceptional properties — each hand-selected, each professionally managed, each capable of hosting groups of 6 to 12 with the space, privacy, and services that make a trip unforgettable. Then we built the concierge infrastructure around them: chefs, captains, wellness practitioners, local guides — all vetted, all island-based, all aligned with our standard.
